This part of the town is especially broken and rotten. Here you can find:
- The harbour, including some old boats
- an old "piratey" bar (be aware of the alcoholics XD)
- some old boat houses
- a phising shop
- and an old, small (half broken) stone bridge crossing the river that flows through the town and merges nerby in the sea

Julie made her way through the town quickly, with large steps. She had already noticed that the sailor seemed confused, so she wanted to give him some time to rest before revealing all the new... stuff.

She finally reached the old part of the town. She wasn't really sure how old this part of the town was, but it seemed pretty old. Some renovations here and there, but all in all it could have looked similar in Rioth's time.

"Yeah, so -eh- here is the old part of the town" The girl announced "You have the harbour right there" She pointed forward. Even though some houses blocked the sight, some waves could be heard "and, well - uh - all the other shops and bars are aroud here"

Rioth looked at his new surroundings with wide eyes.
So according to the lady, this was the old part of the town. All of this looked pretty new to the young sailor though.
Sure, it looked quite much like the town he knew, but all of the old houses were repaired and ... much fancier than before.
"Well, things definitely changed a bit", he choked.

Julie shrugged and turned around.

"Eh. Comes with the time I guess... How did this look like in your time?"

She was glad - mostly thankful - that Rioth wasn't freaking out and started screaming when they walked through the town. She wasn't in the mood (or even shape) to deal with a crazy pirate.

She noticed how he had looked around and was scared he'd freak out

"Thank you...for not freaking out in this situation" Julie slowly said to Rioth

Rioth swallowed painfully.

"Yeah. Uh. No big deal, ya know."

Shutting his eyes for a moment, he silently took a deep breath and looked at the new buildings once again.

"I dunno, maid, I think it simply looked a lil... dirtier maybe? And just... different."

The sailor looked at a building to his left. This house used to be a bar too. His father liked to go there in the evening - it was where Rioth met the crew of a famous pirate ship.
It still looked the same, basically. It was cleaner on the outside, the wooden bar sign was removed and it seemed to be unused now.

The pirate remembered his excitement as he had entered that bar with his father for the first time, drank his first beer and talked to real pirates for the first time.
It was not the bar in which all of this had happened anymore though. It was meaningless now.

An old building meaninglessly standing in the middle of an old town where everybody had already forgotten about all the stories that happened here, all the stories that this house could tell. But nobody wanted to know anymore.

Julie coughed silently, to gain the sailors attention once again

"Yeah, so... -uh- the fisher, I mean Frank lives just here around the corner" She announced, moving a bit faster now. This had been a really crazy day and she started to feel sorry for the pirate.

As she walked around the corner, a tall figure came running towards her and knocked her to the ground. She quickly turned around, just to see a tall guy in a suit running down the alley she just came from.

"What the...?" She muttered to herself, still on the ground.

Yells and screams could be heard behind her, as the tall figure quickly disappeared into the shadows

Rioth hurried to sit down on the ground next to the maid, his arms helplessly held up in the air.

"Ya okay? Are ya hurt? Oh shit, what a rude twat! No gentleman shoves a girl to the ground like that!"

He then gently put his arms around her torso to help her get up.

"What's happenin'? Is there a fight or somethin'? Did somebody attack the town?"

Julie was surprised by the concern the sailor showed for her.

"Thanks"The mumbled, while getting up with his help. She looked around. The voices were getting louder, but didn't seem to get any closer.

"Something...something is wrong" The girl spoke with concern. This wasn't normal. This wasn't a casual bar fight. What the heck was going on? Who was that guy?

Even though the town was very small, she didn't know everybody in it. But she was sure she had never seen somebody like him before. Or at least she thought so.

She lifted her head, just to see a large grey cloud in the sky, coming from only a few blocks ahead. Nonononono! Was it burning somewhere? Did this guy set fire to something? She'd never catch up with him, but she had to know what was going on. Her curiosity and concern were killing her.

"The fire...!" Was the only thing she could say.

Julie looked at Rioth, her expression begging him to come with her. She was scared but she wanted to go and do something. Having somebody else by your side wouldn't be that bad in such a situation.

"What fire?"

Rioth scowled at her, then looked at the large unnatural-looking cloud the maid was apparently refering to.
He swallowed.
"Oh shit. Uh, ya know what? Go hide somewhere safe, I'll go take a closer look at this!"

In hurry, he turned around and took the maid's hand, furiously looking for a good place for her to hide.

"Noooo" Julie shouted, taking her hand away from Rioth

"I-I-...I'm coming with! Two heads are better than one, right?" The girl explained nervously "Besides, I..." She made a pause. Would it work? No time for excuses, let's go!

She quickly grabbed the sailor again by the hand. Oh no, Julie had never done this before with another person. Would it work? She took a deep breath, thinking about the fire while closing her eyes forcefully. This is better going to work, or ... else

- pooof! -

The noises, screams and voices became louder and clearer suddently. Did it work? Julie didn't want to open her eyes right now, but there was no other way. If she got stuck again in another dimension she would have to wait some more hours to get out, so she hoped that this would be her world. She opened her eyes slowly just to find herself standing next to Rioth in front of Franks fishing shop -okay, close enough.

Like a painful blow on the head, Julie felt a sudden tireness in her body. This was what happened when she teleported too hasty without even thinking. She shook her head and took some deep breaths in order to recover herself and clear her thoughts.

It wasn't until she lifted her head, that she saw the fire just some meters away from her. Well, fire wouldn't be the correct term in this situation, because what was burning was not a house but... what the heck was this even?

Instinctly, Rioth put an arm around the lady's shoulder to steady her, taking her by the arm with his other hand.
It happened without him expecting it but he knew this feeling by now. He had just been teleported by the lovely lady in his arms.
There, he was right and he was sane - everything around him was freaking out, but he was sane.
Strange things were happening.

Talking about strange things - something told him his shadow hadn't teleported with them. He had immediately run after them though and now he was standing right next to the pirate again. And he looked stronger now.
No, that phrasing was not exactly correct. The shadow felt stronger now and Rioth had no clue what that meant.
The meaning was not important right now though.

Right in front of them was a large body. It didn't look human, yet it was moving, it was definitely alive, it was burning and its giant paw was moving towards Rioth, the lad and the shadow - at incredibly high speed.

"DUCK!", Rioth screamed, hugging the girl even tighter and shoving the two of them to the ground.

Julie was shoved to the ground by the sailor. She didn't see this coming and fell down right onto Rioth. She groaned and rolled over to the side

"Thanks" She said to the pirate. She was surprised by his quick reaction though. He must have been in many fights before.

The student kneeled beneath Rioth, she couldn't even look at him, because she was staring right into the "thing".

"Wha- why? How- huh! what?" She couldn't talk. She had never seen anything like this before. What was is? Where did it come from? What did it want?

Questions that would have to be answered later. The fire thing was now standing right in front of them and Julie couldn't help but notice the heat, surrounding it. It felt like she was standing right inside of an oven.

The monster was staring right at them, and Julie was staring back. It wasn't until then that she realized she was still holding Rioths hand. She quickly let go and got a bit closer to him

"Do you think it can see us?" She whispered. Chances were, that the monster could be blind or stupid or saw with movement sensors. So this idea wans't that farfetched. And since it was just staring right at them, it could he highly possible

"I think it can sense us", Rioth answered as quietly as possible, slowly standing up again, his arms still around the maid.

He ducked and slowly moved backwards against the wall of a building behind them, holding the lady so she would have to come with him.

"I don't think we can fight this thing", he added in a low voice then, never breaking the demon-looking creature's gaze.

Julie nodded slowly as she stood next to Rioth. She apreciated his bravery and protection.
But the problem was, she wanted to do something. She couldn't just let this thing run around her home and wreking stuff just like that.

The creature moved closer to the two figures, still staring at them. Why wasn't it attaking them? Why was it just staring? The girl looked around, in order to find something. Something that could help them.

She spotted the boat shop on the left. Boats swin on water. This monster is... fire. Fire + water... Yes! The sea was just one block around. If they could lure it there and somehow get it into the sea they could destroy it

"Rioth... This thing is fire. Just one block around, there's the...the sea... water" She lowered her voice while talking even more.

The monster must have heart her, because it roared. Loud. Very loud. It made a weird loud annoying sound, so that Julie was forced to cover her ears with her hands. When it 'finished' screaming at them, it got even closer. The heat increased with every step it made and Julie was beginning to feel more and more desperate.

Rioth broke the monster's gaze to look at the girl - who was suddenly really close since Rioth still had his arms around her - and laughed.

"Of course! You're a genius!", he exclaimed, then added in a mumbled tone: "Or I'm just dumb, who knows"

He then stood straight up so he wasn't in his hiding position anymore and turned to the burning beast again.

"HEY, DUMBASS!"

The pirate threw a rock he found beneath his foot at the monster to get its atttention, which was not even necessary since the damn thing already watched the two of them and started roaring even louder as Rioth started to move faster, but he threw the rock anyway, just for the sake of it.

Taking the girl's hand again, he ran to the corner of the building as fast as he could and let go of the hand in his, so he could quickly climb up the building's wall, using the uneven rocks sticking out and the long branches that hung off the roof.

Julie was again dragged along by Rioth. She watched him climb up the wall, and looked at him. That guy was really cool, she had to admit to herself. But there was no time for compliments, because the monster was quickly followed them.

"Rioth! You get it to the sea, I'll make up something to get it in the water!" The girl shouted at Rioth. She ran towards the other alley, since she was already standing in a corner, and turned left. She didn't even look behind, just run straight towards the sea. She hoped the monster wouldn't follow her. Just hope. That's what was keeping her safe. Great.

(Making up stuff, yeah) She remembered the old mashine standing in the harbor. Frank used it to lift the boats so he could repair them. Hopefully, it would still be working and she could start it

Right. They still had to get that thing in the water.
Well, Rioth thought while waving at the monster like a maniac, good thing that lady planned ahead.

The giant demon reached out to punch the part of the roof where Rioth stood.
As fast as he could, the pirate jumped off the roof - which was a pretty dumb idea considering that he stood on a goddamn roof, meaning there were a quite few inches between his personal ground and the real ground. But in the very second in which he realized what his most recent action could mean for the health of his bones, the shadow, standing at the corner of the roof, stretched itself to some kind of a rope between the roof Rioth just left and the roof of the house next to it, catching the pirate before he could hit the floor.

Clinging to the rope now, Rioth hung a few inches above the ground with wide eyes and sucked in a deep breath. Dang. That was close.

Julie kept running, until she reached the old boat-lifter thingy. It was still standing in the harbour. Thinking about it now she could have teleported to it, but since she had no idea how to properly control her abily it was a lot safer to just run.

She heard loud growls and crashing sounds from behind her. Rioth was probably keeping the thing busy. At least she hoped so. No. No way the fire-thing got Rioth. She had seen him react so fast moments ago. He can take care of himself, yes, he's a pirate. He can do it.

Now, to her part of the job. She approached the mashine slowly and carefully. To be honest, she had no idea how it worked or what to even begin with, but she'd manage to improvise. What could be the worst case scenario? The monster killing off the whole town and then burning it?

"Stop that!" She told herself. She wasn't going to let her home down now.

Julie carefully ripped off the wood blocking the entrance of the mashine. Frank seemed to have put it there so nobody would use it, but the wood was so old and muddy, she managed to get it off easily.

She entered the control room, well, the small cabin with a chair and some buttons, and started desperately pressing anything there was. How did this mashine even work???
